Bali's automated gates are operational. These gates are situated in both the international arrival and departure terminals. Currently, only tourists meeting specific criteria are permitted to utilize the auto-gates for both arrival and departure procedures.
Travelers from VEA ( visa exempt arrangment) nations and those utilizing the eVoA system are eligible to enjoy expedited passage through the airport.
VEA travellers must still apply for their visa exemption online in order to use the eGates
Children 6 years and above can also use the autogates.

Bali auto-gate registration guidelines for VEA ( visa exemption arrangement)
Travellers who hold passport from the countries listed below gain visa free entry for up to 30 days. This cannot be extended.

If staying longer than 30 days you can apply for Visa On Arrival upon landing in Bali or apply online for an e-VOA which can be extened.

Who can use the auto-gates?
At Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport, automated gates (autogates) are used for immigration arrivals, offering a faster and smoother experience for travelers with e-Visas or e-VOAs, including those aged 6 and above, using biometric passports.
Who can use the autogates?
- Travelers aged 6 and above: with an e-Visa or e-VOA and a biometric passport. Must apply and pay online to use the auto-gates
- Tourists holding an ASEAN passport: with their visa-exempt status in Indonesia. Must apply online to use the auto-gates.
- Indonesian passport holders: without any additional pre-travel procedures.
E-VOA
Travellers who have applied online and received an E-VOA can also use the auto gates at Bali's International Airport.
